The audience thought a goal was coming when Orfilio Orbañanos got free with Reinaldo Urbina in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ariel Balboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Alberto Ponce in the 25th minute of the match. Aníbal Veliz kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in PROTON F.C.'s zone, Orfilio Orbañanos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reinaldo Urbina came out of the goal and Orfilio Orbañanos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Veliz came free, but Ariel Balboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. U. de Tarapacá fully deserved thier win.
