Pan Lin Zhen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reinaldo Urbina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, CRUZ DEL SUR's Pan Lin Zhen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reinaldo Urbina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 14th match minute, PROTON F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ysidro Uribe to maneuver through the defense. Reinaldo Urbina stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pan Lin Zhen's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Pan Lin Zhen took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reinaldo Urbina. Reinaldo Urbina dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Pan Lin Zhen might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reinaldo Urbina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pan Lin Zhen ran back to his position shaking his head. 22 minutes into the match, PROTON F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Pan Lin Zhen came free, but Reinaldo Urbina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zachariasz Dudkowski made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Aníbal Veliz sent off a good shot on target. PROTON F.C.'s Reinaldo Urbina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronnie Odell in the 27th minute of play. Reinaldo Urbina didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pan Lin Zhen went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute Pan Lin Zhen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Urbina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, PROTON F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Pan Lin Zhen came free, but Reinaldo Urbina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zachariasz Dudkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Veliz, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 47 minutes of play, CRUZ DEL SUR's Pan Lin Zhen made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reinaldo Urbina was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pan Lin Zhen to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind CRUZ DEL SUR's goalkeeper Zachariasz Dudkowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. PROTON F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maurino Alderete in the 54th minute. PROTON F.C.'s Reinaldo Urbina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save PROTON F.C. from getting a goal against them. When PROTON F.C.'s Luis Alberto Ponce in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabio Zorondo got free with Reinaldo Urbina in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reinaldo Urbina didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when CRUZ DEL SUR's Eustacio Antonucci shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-7 in the ordered_time% minute. After a defensive mix-up in PROTON F.C.'s zone, Pan Lin Zhen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reinaldo Urbina came out of the goal and Pan Lin Zhen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reinaldo Urbina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabio Zorondo in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the game, Eustacio Antonucci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Reinaldo Urbina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pablo Soto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Reinaldo Urbina came out and tried to block the shot, but Pablo Soto slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 89th minute. Ysidro Uribe hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
