VILLANUEVA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orfilio Orbañanos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. U. de Tarapacá's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Jorge Vicente Soler scored to the left of an out of position Ariel Balboa, making the score, 1-1. 20 minutes into the match, VILLANUEVA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Heers came free, but Nicodemo Recalde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Orfilio Orbañanos made a precise shot to the right of Nicodemo Recalde. VILLANUEVA FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Orfilio Orbañanos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, VILLANUEVA FC's Nicodemo Recalde got control of the ball when Orfilio Orbañanos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, U. de Tarapacá's Kim Heers got a free kick in the 95th minute. U. de Tarapacá played a much better game than VILLANUEVA FC and deserved their victory. The VILLANUEVA FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
