Alvaro Oidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fábio Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to ARedonditos de Ricota CFK getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Justo Pasqual hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, ARedonditos de Ricota CFK's Tomás Mendiko got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Atilano Chesus to strike the kick off in the second half. Alperen Bozkurt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Piorno's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Jataiense Futebol Clube made a substitution. Nilmar Pereira replaced Horácio Gonçalves. In the 78th minute of the match ARedonditos de Ricota CFK got a corner. Jataiense Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Julio Dubardo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The throw-in from Justo Pasqual in the 88th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Jataiense Futebol Clube's Gino Camargo. 89 minutes into the match, ARedonditos de Ricota CFK's goal looked a bit too open when Nilmar Pereira came free, but Alvaro Oidor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Claudinho Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ARedonditos de Ricota CFK fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when ARedonditos de Ricota CFK's Benjamin Piorno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The Jataiense Futebol Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jataiense Futebol Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
