Rubén Martínez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lia Vela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Lia Vela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubén Martínez in the 20th minute. Rambo Ramírez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Oroitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Club Sports Pergamino's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Pablo Solari scored to the left of an out of position Lia Vela, making the score, 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rubén Martínez in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lia Vela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zheng Jian to make the kick off. Ramiro Oroitz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rambo Ramírez firmly grabbed it by the left post. Rambo Ramírez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fan Jing Sang in the 57th minute of the match. Lia Vela came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Colo-Colo's Rubén Martínez. But to his dismay, Rubén Martínez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Rubén Martínez might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lia Vela. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rubén Martínez ran back to his position shaking his head. Club Sports Pergamino's Lia Vela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubén Martínez in the 66th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rubén Martínez in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lia Vela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rubén Martínez took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lia Vela. Lia Vela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Colo-Colo made a substitution. Ivo Basay replaced Rubén Martínez. Colo-Colo's José Julio Almeida was substituted for Marco-Antonio Etcheverry. Colo-Colo made a substitution. Carlitos Caszely replaced Pablo Solari. In the 77th match minute, Colo-Colo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Droguett to maneuver through the defense. Lia Vela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivo Basay went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. In the 96th minute, Ivo Basay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lia Vela was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. Colo-Colo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
