Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aquiles Gana to make the kick off. Besim Vecdet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Dražen Ladić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stasio Plachetka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Dražen Ladić made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Besim Vecdet could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Dražen Ladić however easily saved by the left post. Aquiles Gana charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
