After a defensive mix-up in Wittbach SSA's zone, Qin Kun Xi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ján Oblak came out of the goal and Qin Kun Xi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute Qin Kun Xi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ján Oblak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jedrzej Ikalewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Frechoso having to interfere. Ján Oblak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Regis in the 28th minute of play. Narciso Frechoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grzegorz Motowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 36th minute, Jedrzej Ikalewicz made a precise shot to the right of Narciso Frechoso. Velez sarsfield's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ján Oblak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Regis in the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Qin Kun Xi to make the kick off. Grzegorz Motowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Frechoso having to interfere. Agustin Bernaldo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Jedrzej Ikalewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Frechoso having to interfere. Grzegorz Motowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jedrzej Ikalewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Frechoso having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Ted Lasso notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Velez sarsfield's Narciso Frechoso. Narciso Frechoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Narciso Frechoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ted Lasso in the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Wittbach SSA fans cheered their team off the field, for while Velez sarsfield had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
