Kevin Newman started the match with the kick off. Jacob Barroso might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Heiko Som. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacob Barroso ran back to his position shaking his head. After 4 played minutes Lima Team got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Assunção. De Ontembare Leeuwen's Heiko Som played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herberto Caiado in the 6th minute of play. Francisco Infante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernest Kleinman in the 9th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Herberto Caiado made a precise shot to the right of Heiko Som. De Ontembare Leeuwen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. A collision led to Lima Team getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Anselmo Domingos hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Herberto Caiado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lima Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Herberto Caiado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heiko Som breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stefan Popken hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Wilson Frois received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Heiko Som tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lima Team's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Herberto Caiado in the 27th minute. Horácio Sobral made a great header on Lima Team's corner, it was just that De Ontembare Leeuwen's Heiko Som managed to reach the ball for a save. Anselmo Domingos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Heiko Som managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Lima Team's Herberto Caiado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 40 minutes into the match, De Ontembare Leeuwen's goalkeeper Heiko Som had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacob Barroso. Francisco Infante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Newman in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute Kevin Newman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Infante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Infante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raymond Heersprink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herberto Caiado to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Ernest Kleinman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Ontembare Leeuwen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernest Kleinman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisco Infante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Newman in the 55th minute of play. Lima Team's Francisco Infante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Newman in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Herberto Caiado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herberto Caiado in the 69th minute of play forced De Ontembare Leeuwen's goalkeeper Heiko Som to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Infante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Newman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heiko Som showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Barroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. With a little luck, Lima Team's Francisco Infante got control of the ball when Carlos Gustavo Anatibia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 80th minute, Kevin Newman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisco Infante was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Lima Team's Francisco Infante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Lima Team from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herberto Caiado in the 85th minute of play forced De Ontembare Leeuwen's goalkeeper Heiko Som to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes De Ontembare Leeuwen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Herberto Caiado who took care of the corner kick. Jorn Spannenburg thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Heiko Som, a very annoying self made goal in the 90th minute which led to 2-1. De Ontembare Leeuwen's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
