Jonas Bermejo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Luke having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Hendrickx in the 5th minute of play forced Bada Bing Club's goalkeeper Ünal Başar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 6 played minutes Pilar FC got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Villaverde. After having played for 7 minutes, Toma Soda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bada Bing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toma Soda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute, Alejandro Gai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute Candido Hendrickx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ünal Başar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candido Hendrickx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ünal Başar having to make a save. Ünal Başar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Hendrickx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Candido Hendrickx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ünal Başar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Ünal Başar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Lano in the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Wright in the 31st minute of play forced Pilar FC's goalkeeper Sixto Luke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candido Hendrickx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ünal Başar having to make a save. Peter Wright could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Sixto Luke made a huge save. The throw-in from Guillerme Salazar in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Pilar FC's Eustacio Baldovino. After 40 played minutes Bada Bing Club got a freekick which was hit by Carlo Domenici. 41 minutes into the game, Pilar FC's Candido Hendrickx nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ünal Başar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 48 minutes into the match, Pilar FC's goalkeeper Sixto Luke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Wright. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After a rather tough play, Pilar FC's Martin Benítez got a free kick in the 55th minute. Pilar FC made a substitution. Guus Koole replaced Cristian Jenaro. Pilar FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Bermejo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Pilar FC's Luca Langoni was substituted for Martin Benítez.
