In the 19th minute Alex Nivø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Ritchie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Dei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Brekkstein having to interfere. In the 24th minute, one of O rey Iván:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for O rey Iván. Bruno Ritchie had in the 26thth minute some difficulties stopping Timm Vastrup's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The throw-in from Asfred Græsborg in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by O rey Iván's Aldo Montrell. In the 33rd minute, Kurth Eckstrøm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Ritchie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustav Horsgaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, O rey Iván's goal looked a bit too open when Gustav Horsgaard came free, but Bruno Ritchie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustav Horsgaard took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Ritchie. Bruno Ritchie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A collision led to O rey Iván getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Alejandro Perico hit a great ball. Bruno Ritchie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Villy Laising, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Bruno Ritchie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steen Sieck in the 66th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute of the match, Villy Laising tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bruno Ritchie saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bruno Ritchie was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alex Nivø showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 84 minute of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Alex Nivø managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
