An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani Lira in the 32nd minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Luizão Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Iuri Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Catugi FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mestre GG were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hernani Lira made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hernani Lira came free, but Luizão Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mestre GG's Enio Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco de Amorim in the 56th minute of play. Luizão Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernani Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Quintal in the 63rd minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Luizão Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Catugi FC's Luizão Braga got control of the ball when Hernani Lira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leopoldo Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Luizão Braga made a huge save. Luizão Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Francisco Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Leopoldo Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
