Luís Fernando Nogueira ran back to his position shaking his head. 1-2 became the score in the 33rd minute when David Furtado elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danilo Alagoano got free with Lauro Secco in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Papunhas EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Eugênio Guimarães scored to the left of an out of position Lauro Secco, making the score, 2-2. Papunhas EC's Lauro Secco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Papunhas EC from getting a goal against them. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danilo Alagoano to make the kick off. After 56 played minutes ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s Doni Meirelles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽ from getting a goal against them. Papunhas EC's Luís Fernando Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st match minute, ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natanael de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ.
