Olavo Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Robinho Magalhães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruy Loureiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, ITAFUT 4EVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Paulo Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute, Tadeu Correia fired a really elegant long shot, but Ernesto Varela threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Ruy Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Baiano in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Zé Carlos Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to ITAFUT 4EVER getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Robinho Magalhães hit a great ball. Bruninho Trigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ernesto Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Edgar Baiano put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ruy Loureiro. Montevideo's Ruy Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Estevez Palmeira in the 42nd minute of play. Ruy Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam Cardozo in the 43rd minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agostinho Senna was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Estevez Palmeira got free with Ruy Loureiro in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 55 minutes into the game, ITAFUT 4EVER's Estevez Palmeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruy Loureiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Betão Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Loureiro having to interfere. Ruy Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Estevez Palmeira in the 60th minute of play. Ruy Loureiro was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Afonso Maciel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Afonso Maciel really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. When Afonso Maciel fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ITAFUT 4EVER's protests and gave Afonso Maciel a yellow card for diving instead. Montevideo's Ruy Loureiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Montevideo from getting a goal against them. In the 76th minute, Rômulo Neves fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ruy Loureiro, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, Montevideo's Olavo Maranhense got a free kick in the 79th minute. Ruy Loureiro made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Ronaldinho Costa sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Wiliam Cardozo came free, but Ruy Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Estevez Palmeira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ruy Loureiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Estevez Palmeira slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 84th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Baiano got free with Ruy Loureiro in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 89 minutes into the match, Afonso Maciel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ruy Loureiro, 0-6. With a little luck, Montevideo's Ruy Loureiro got control of the ball when Estevez Palmeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Montevideo getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Emílio Bittencourt hit a great ball. The ITAFUT 4EVER supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ITAFUT 4EVER would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
