With a couple of smart ball manuevers Davi Proença in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lauro Secco saved Papunhas EC from getting behind. Rafa Capixaba hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Glauco de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Lauro Secco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Davi Proença. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Lauro Secco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Catugi FC's Lauro Secco threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Davi Proença, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lauro Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davi Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luizão Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Ferraz in the 30th minute of play. Glauco de Amorim received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lauro Secco came out and tried to block the shot, but Glauco de Amorim slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 31st minute. In the 36th minute, Luiz Gustavo do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Davi Proença to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Glauco de Amorim made a precise shot to the right of Lauro Secco. Papunhas EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When Davi Proença came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Catugi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davi Proença couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Catugi FC's Luizão Braga got control of the ball when Luís Fernando Nogueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dieguinho Donatello hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goalkeeper Luizão Braga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Fernando Nogueira. Luizão Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Davi Proença sped through Papunhas EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lauro Secco. Silas Barbosa's late challenge caught a Papunhas EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silas Barbosa helped the player get up and apologised. Silas Barbosa hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Lauro Secco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dieguinho Donatello in the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davi Proença in the 91st minute of play forced Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Lauro Secco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Catugi FC had played much better football throughout.
