With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovanni Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Joélson Donatello in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brasiliense FC's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Rio Verde F.C CIMZ getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Geovani Vieira hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Germano Domingues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Fábio Goiano was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Joélson Donatello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovanni Almeida made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Joélson Donatellos short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Geovanni Almeida to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 64 minutes into the game, Joélson Donatello lined in a short shot 2-3 behind a frustrated Geovanni Almeida. After a rather tough play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Zeca Garcia got a free kick in the 69th minute. After 78 minutes, Cesinha Mazza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ and the Brasiliense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling César Coelho in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Paulo Xavier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
