If Abelardo Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Catugi FC defense, Didi Dionísio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luizão Braga. The Catugi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luizão Braga should have stopped the shot. Luizão Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Toscano in the 25th minute of play. Dida Batista hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Catugi FC's Luizão Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi Dionísio in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's Abelardo Toscano got a free kick in the 30th minute. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. João Carlos Ramalho hit a great ball. Luiz Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davi Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cléber Tróia to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Frederico Bertassi. 53 minutes into the game, Eriberto da Fonseca recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luizão Braga. Eriberto da Fonseca showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. A hard shot 56 in the game by Oswaldo Paulista from a close distance when the talented Luizão Braga managed to make a qualified save. Catugi FC's players were relieved. Luizão Braga made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Oswaldo Paulista sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eriberto da Fonseca got free with Luizão Braga in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 63 minutes of play, Catugi FC's Davi Proença made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Neto was left in no man's land by his defense there! ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's Cido Queirós was substituted for Cléber Tróia. After 71 minutes, Dida Batista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catugi FC and the ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ players grew even worse after the yellow card. ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ made a substitution. Agnaldo Loureiro replaced Abelardo Toscano. In the 70th minute, one of Catugi FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Catugi FC. Luizão Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cido Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 83rd minute Pedro Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizão Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Cido Queirós notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Catugi FC's Luizão Braga. Luizão Braga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cido Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Luizão Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 98 minutes into the game, Oswaldo Paulista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Luizão Braga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle sounded ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Catugi FC.
