When Mathias Mandrak fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Diamond Football Club's protests and gave Mathias Mandrak a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, Diamond Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. Ernesto Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davi Proença in the 13th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Penha came free, but Luizão Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Gustavo do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Frederico Bertassi hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Frederico Bertassi's late challenge caught a Diamond Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frederico Bertassi helped the player get up and apologised. Ernesto Favoretto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davi Proença in the 35th minute of play. Glauco de Amorim charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Glauco de Amorim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Glauco de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Luizão Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The Catugi FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Diamond Football Club's Ernesto Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davi Proença in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Glauco de Amorim made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Favoretto. Diamond Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 84th minute Davi Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Favoretto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Davi Proença kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ernesto Favoretto. That made the score 1-5 in the 86 minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Glauco de Amorim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ernesto Favoretto. Glauco de Amorim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. With a little luck, Diamond Football Club's Ernesto Favoretto got control of the ball when Davi Proença tried to sneak it across the goal line. Glauco de Amorim scored 1-7 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernesto Favoretto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Catugi FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
