Club Atlético Atlanta's Basilio Justin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardo Ranolfo during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Ranolfo to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute Dionisio Monico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atlético Atlanta's Basilio Justin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Pernambucano in the 41st minute of play. If Falcão Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoffer Kempel in the 55th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Basilio Justin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atlético Atlanta's Elpidio Shantala slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Augusto Camargo. That made the score 2-1 after 94 minutes of play. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Club Atlético Atlanta for a fine match.
