An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Cruz in the 9th minute of play forced Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Régis Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luizão Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Richard Madureira charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Richard Madureira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 17 minutes into the match, Dedê Freire notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Papunhas EC's Régis Madureira. Régis Madureira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Régis Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedê Freire in the 25th minute of play. The ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's Telmo Cruz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Montenegro during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eusébio Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Régis Madureira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Telmo Cruz's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute Telmo Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luizão Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Guilherme Moraes fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Papunhas EC's protests and gave Guilherme Moraes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ booed when Papunhas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frédson Rosa to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Dedê Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 53 minutes into the match, Tales de Carvalho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Régis Madureira, 1-3. A collision led to ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Telmo Cruz hit a great ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Telmo Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Telmo Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Régis Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tales de Carvalho in the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Dedê Freire ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Régis Madureira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Dedê Freire's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Régis Madureira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Papunhas EC's Guilherme Moraes pulled a muscle in his leg after 74 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 74 minutes, Tales de Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ and the Papunhas EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Papunhas EC's Valério Vergílio was substituted for Guilherme Moraes. Tales de Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th match minute, Papunhas EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Madureira to maneuver through the defense. When Richard Madureira was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. After 79 played minutes Papunhas EC got a freekick which was hit by Richard Madureira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Cruz in the 83rd minute of play forced Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Régis Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Telmo Cruz got free with Régis Madureira in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Régis Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tales de Carvalho in the 94th minute of play. Nestor Rodrigues hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ played a much better game than Papunhas EC and deserved their victory. The Papunhas EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
