After 89 minutes of play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Marco van Basten made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Edvin Skräddare was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 92nd minute Marco van Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Edvin Skräddare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erasmo de Godoi scored 9-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sven-Edvin Skräddare, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
