A collision led to Chelsicha getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Antônio Rodrigues hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Décio Matorin in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredinho Pereira saved Chelsicha from getting behind. Catugi FC's Sven-Edvin Skräddare proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Catugi FC from getting a goal against them. Catugi FC's Jarbas Lago got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Chelsicha getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Renan França hit a great ball. In the 14thth minute of the game Décio Matorin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chelsicha's Alfredinho Pereira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 15 played minutes Chelsicha got a freekick which was hit by Dedê Terra. Alfredinho Pereira came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Catugi FC's Décio Matorin. But to his dismay, Décio Matorin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sven-Edvin Skräddare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião Paraense in the 19th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Chelsicha's Sebastião Paraense slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sven-Edvin Skräddare. That made the score 1-1 after 21 minutes of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Jarbas Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catugi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarbas Lago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Paulo Renato Penha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sven-Edvin Skräddare, 2-1. In the 29th minute, Falcão Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goalkeeper Sven-Edvin Skräddare had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Carlos Carneiro. 31 minutes into the match, Sebastião Paraense dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sven-Edvin Skräddare, 3-1. In the 33rd minute, Jarbas Lago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredinho Pereira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Décio Matorin kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Décio Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Alfredinho Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Décio Matorin to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute José Carlos Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Edvin Skräddare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Claudinei Carioca got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Artur Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Paraense in the 61st minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Sven-Edvin Skräddare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Vicente Neiva hit a great ball. In the 67th match minute, Chelsicha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulinho de Godoi to maneuver through the defense. Chelsicha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Jarbas Lago scored to the left of an out of position Alfredinho Pereira, making the score, 3-3. Sven-Edvin Skräddare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Renato Penha in the 77th minute of the match. Cássio Matos's late challenge caught a Chelsicha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cássio Matos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Falcão Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastião Paraense took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven-Edvin Skräddare. Sven-Edvin Skräddare dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. The supporters of Chelsicha booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antônio Rodrigues hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Chelsicha's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
