The supporters of OZONTECK booed when Montevideo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laerte Paraíba didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Almir de Sena fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montevideo's protests and gave Almir de Sena a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, Montevideo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almir de Sena to maneuver through the defense. When Jeferson Vargas came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the OZONTECK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeferson Vargas couldn't finish the play. Wincent Jaworski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Couto in the 12th minute of play. Wincent Jaworski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gláuber Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wincent Jaworski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrézinho Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Wincent Jaworski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Correa in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st match minute, OZONTECK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Couto to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, OZONTECK's John Victor got control of the ball when Dagoberto Loyola tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute Montevideo were awarded a corner. Mathias dos Santos went to the cornerflag to take it. OZONTECK's John Victor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save OZONTECK from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd match minute, OZONTECK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho Abreu to maneuver through the defense. John Victor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathias dos Santos in the 34th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dagoberto Loyola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andrézinho Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wincent Jaworski having to interfere. Wincent Jaworski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Correa in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to OZONTECK getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Jeferson Vargas hit a great ball. After 65 played minutes OZONTECK got a freekick which was hit by Elias Velloso. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for OZONTECK! After 75 minutes of play, OZONTECK's Virgílio Alves made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wincent Jaworski was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Dagoberto Loyola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but John Victor was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Laerte Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Wincent Jaworski acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 83rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jeferson Vargas. Gláuber Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Wincent Jaworski made a huge save. In the 86th minute, Montevideo's Edmílson Silveira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Edmílson Silveira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Montevideo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Edmílson Silveira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. With a little luck, Montevideo's Wincent Jaworski got control of the ball when André Couto tried to sneak it across the goal line.
