The tension between the Montevideo and the Catugi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 28 played minutes Montevideo got a freekick which was hit by Dagoberto Loyola. Thanks to some nice moves Leonel Varela could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Wincent Jaworski however easily saved by the left post. In the 32nd match minute, Montevideo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clóvis Paraense to maneuver through the defense. Leonel Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Wincent Jaworski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 minutes, Dagoberto Loyola made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Catugi FC's Sven-Edvin Skräddare tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nando de Alcântara was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Claudinei Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincent Jaworski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Catugi FC's Henrique Félix seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Henrique Félix the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Catugi FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Henrique Félix had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 57 minutes into the game, one of Catugi FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Catugi FC:s Sven-Edvin Skräddare showed great skill when he stopped Laerte Paraíba:s penalty. Décio Matorin kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Leonel Varela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wincent Jaworski. Montevideo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonel Varela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After 92 minutes Montevideo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Artur Nunes who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Catugi FC's Artur Nunes to fire away a dangerous shot which Wincent Jaworski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Dagoberto Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wincent Jaworski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Varela, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Montevideo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
