Angel Frederico showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. David Vimaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siro Molinuevo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Punta Carretas FC booed when Ariel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Salvino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Siro Molinuevo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roque Peñacerrada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25thth minute of the game Angel Frederico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Punta Carretas FC's Marcelito Cirion was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eustacio Salvino hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Siro Molinuevo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. David Vimaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Siro Molinuevo made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Ariel FC's Eusebio Chap got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Zigor Cuellar sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ariel FC's David Vimaro didn't even have to move. 60 minutes into the match, Punta Carretas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Salvadore came free, but Marcelito Cirion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Ariel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Salvino to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match, Siro Molinuevo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but David Vimaro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 64 minutes into the match, Mauro Gauargi notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Punta Carretas FC's Marcelito Cirion. Marcelito Cirion was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 72nd minute, Angel Frederico made a precise shot to the right of Marcelito Cirion. Punta Carretas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Marcelito Cirion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Ioritz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Apolo Salvadore had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelito Cirion. Punta Carretas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Apolo Salvadore was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. In the 95th minute of the match Benedicto Gaizko sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelito Cirion skillfully saved the ball. In the 96th minute, Amadeo Olazabal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the match, Angel Frederico had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelito Cirion. Punta Carretas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angel Frederico was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. Ariel FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Punta Carretas FC for a fine match.
