An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Lesardo in the 3rd minute of play forced Forlusitanos's goalkeeper Valentim Baía to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Ariel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hilário Barcelos came free, but David Vimaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentim Baía didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angel Frederico went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Durval Fraga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Vimaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Bernardino Cuarto kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Durval Fraga in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Vimaro saved Ariel FC from getting behind. Valentim Baía took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Lesardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Forlusitanos defense, Valentin Lesardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentim Baía. The Forlusitanos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentim Baía should have stopped the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Forlusitanos's goalkeeper Valentim Baía had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Txurio. Valentim Baía was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valentin Lesardo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 28 minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Angel Frederico dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valentim Baía, 4-0. Hilário Barcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. David Vimaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Txurio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Valentim Baía made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angel Frederico to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Valentin Lesardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ariel FC and the Forlusitanos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Forlusitanos booed when Ariel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Lesardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Vimaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Santarém in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Durval Fraga got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 57 minutes into the match, Ariel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Santarém came free, but David Vimaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Pedro Txurio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valentim Baía was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Valentim Baía showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Gauargi in the 64th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Ariel FC defense, Durval Fraga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Vimaro. The Ariel FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Vimaro should have stopped the shot. Durval Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Vimaro having to interfere. Valentim Baía made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Txurio in the 73rd minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Valentin Lesardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valentim Baía. Forlusitanos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentin Lesardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 8-1 when Angel Frederico sped through Forlusitanos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Valentim Baía. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Gauargi in the 82nd minute of play forced Forlusitanos's goalkeeper Valentim Baía to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84thth minute of the game Durval Fraga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ariel FC's David Vimaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 85th minute, Benedicto Gaizko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ariel FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durval Fraga in the 90th minute of play forced Ariel FC's goalkeeper David Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Pedro Txurio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valentim Baía. Forlusitanos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Txurio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-1. After a rather tough play, Ariel FC's Bernardino Cuarto got a free kick in the 97th minute. David Vimaro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Durval Fraga's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. Ariel FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
