Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) AS Rapperswil-Jona's Hercules Dommen got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roque Fraco took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gerd Laforge. Gerd Laforge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Mariano Eguerdi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Drescher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hercules Dommen in the 17th minute of play forced Urundel's goalkeeper Mariano Eguerdi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hercules Dommen struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Mariano Eguerdi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS Rapperswil-Jona. After 25 played minutes Urundel got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Solustiano. After 26 played minutes, AS Rapperswil-Jona's Aurelius Amberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mariano Eguerdi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AS Rapperswil-Jona reached it. Celestino Drescher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Eguerdi having to interfere. Gerd Laforge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Ekialde in the 32nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Sein got free with Gerd Laforge in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Eguerdi came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by AS Rapperswil-Jona's Celestino Drescher. But to his dismay, Celestino Drescher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Ignacio Urtun fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urundel's protests and gave Ignacio Urtun a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th minute, Fabricio Leizarraga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurelius Amberg hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Ekialde in the 42nd minute of play forced AS Rapperswil-Jona's goalkeeper Gerd Laforge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celestino Drescher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramiro Ekialde stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hercules Dommen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The tension between the Urundel and the AS Rapperswil-Jona players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th match minute, Urundel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Sein to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Eguerdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hercules Dommen in the 67th minute of play. After 71 played minutes AS Rapperswil-Jona got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Rohr. Urundel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Sein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvaldo Solustiano hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Hercules Dommen managed to get in a good position for a shot. AS Rapperswil-Jona's supporters rose to their feet, but Hercules Dommen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Eguerdi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 84 minutes, Iker Leobardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Urundel and the AS Rapperswil-Jona players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th match minute, AS Rapperswil-Jona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Rohr to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th match minute, AS Rapperswil-Jona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hercules Dommen to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Hercules Dommen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mariano Eguerdi. The goal made the score 1-3. After some careless play in the Urundel defense, Hercules Dommen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Eguerdi. The Urundel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Eguerdi should have stopped the shot. AS Rapperswil-Jona's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
