Aurelius Amberg kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Horacio Nesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerd Laforge having to interfere. After a rather tough play, AS Rapperswil-Jona's Aurelius Amberg got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Horacio Nesto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gerd Laforge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Lidon in the 24th minute of play. If Celestino Drescher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AS Rapperswil-Jona's Gerd Laforge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Eneto in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Nesto in the 42nd minute of play forced AS Rapperswil-Jona's goalkeeper Gerd Laforge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Horacio Nesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Lidon in the 48th minute of play forced AS Rapperswil-Jona's goalkeeper Gerd Laforge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celestino Drescher to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, AS Rapperswil-Jona's Alwin Stegmeier got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Gerd Laforge made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Rigoberto Lehoi sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 59 minutes, Celestino Drescher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AS Rapperswil-Jona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celestino Drescher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Claudio Rohr fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AS Rapperswil-Jona's protests and gave Claudio Rohr a yellow card for diving instead. Claudio Rohr kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of Agulleiro F.C. booed when AS Rapperswil-Jona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Rohr didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute Emilio Lidon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerd Laforge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AS Rapperswil-Jona's Gerd Laforge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Eneto in the 69th minute of play. When Celestino Drescher came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the AS Rapperswil-Jona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celestino Drescher couldn't finish the play. Horacio Nesto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Gerd Laforge made a huge save. A collision led to AS Rapperswil-Jona getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Aurelius Amberg hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Horacio Nesto took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Gerd Laforge to make any attempt to save it. If Guido Maiorga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Agulleiro F.C.'s Bernabe Eneto got a free kick in the 88th minute. Agulleiro F.C.'s Emilio Lidon was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 96th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.
