Marcelito Cirion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manos Kapsimalis in the 16th minute of play. Iakovos Tselekidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siro Molinuevo in the 21st minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Makis Kaklamanis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Punta Carretas FC's Siro Molinuevo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iakovos Tselekidis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Bourniαs's Koulis Kaftis got a free kick in the 31st minute. Roque Peñacerrada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iakovos Tselekidis having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Siro Molinuevo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Nikos Voulgaridis hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. When Manos Kapsimalis came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Bourniαs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manos Kapsimalis couldn't finish the play. 43 minutes into the game, Cordera Silvestre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Punta Carretas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bourniαs the free kick. In the 43rd minute, one of Punta Carretas FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Punta Carretas FC. Petros Kalabokis shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Siro Molinuevo to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Siro Molinuevo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iakovos Tselekidis. Bourniαs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Siro Molinuevo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 59th minute, Bazil Bultes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bourniαs's Petros Kalabokis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Punta Carretas FC. Iakovos Tselekidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siro Molinuevo in the 64th minute of the match. 67 minutes in the game, Makis Kaklamanis fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Marcelito Cirion having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Punta Carretas FC's zone, Makis Kaklamanis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelito Cirion came out of the goal and Makis Kaklamanis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Bourniαs booed when Punta Carretas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ugutz Urbina didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute of the match, Makis Kaklamanis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcelito Cirion was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Makis Kaklamanis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Marcelito Cirion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Makis Kaklamanis struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Marcelito Cirion didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bourniαs. Manos Kapsimalis was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Punta Carretas FC's Marcelito Cirion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manos Kapsimalis in the 93rd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bourniαs players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Punta Carretas FC.
