The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Makis Kaklamanis during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Bourniαs getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Makis Kaklamanis hit a great ball. Caetano Santarém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentim Baía showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manos Kapsimalis, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Forlusitanos's goal looked a bit too open when Makis Kaklamanis came free, but Valentim Baía reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Makis Kaklamanis in the 13th minute of play forced Forlusitanos's goalkeeper Valentim Baía to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Manos Kapsimalis made a precise shot to the right of Valentim Baía. Forlusitanos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Manos Kapsimalis scored 1-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valentim Baía, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valentim Baía came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bourniαs's Giannis Sapounakis. But to his dismay, Giannis Sapounakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Durval Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iakovos Tselekidis having to interfere. Valentim Baía didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giannis Sapounakis went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute, Giannis Sapounakis made a precise shot to the right of Valentim Baía. Forlusitanos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Hilário Barcelos took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iakovos Tselekidis. Iakovos Tselekidis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. Valentim Baía took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manos Kapsimalis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentim Baía came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bourniαs's Makis Kaklamanis. But to his dismay, Makis Kaklamanis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-6 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manos Kapsimalis made a kick off. A collision led to Forlusitanos getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Bruno Antas hit a great ball. In the 53rd minute, Petros Kalabokis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giannis Sapounakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Valentim Baía tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Bourniαs's Nikos Voulgaridis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Valentim Baía. Valentim Baía yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-7. In the 65th minute Giannis Sapounakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentim Baía saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentim Baía made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michalis Digozis in the 69th minute of play. A collision led to Forlusitanos getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. João Lima hit a great ball. Valentim Baía made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Makis Kaklamanis sent off a good shot on target. 74 minutes into the match, Caetano Santarém had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iakovos Tselekidis. Bourniαs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caetano Santarém was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-7. Durval Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iakovos Tselekidis having to interfere. Iakovos Tselekidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Santarém in the 85th minute of the match. Valentim Baía made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manos Kapsimalis in the 87th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikos Voulgaridis got free with Valentim Baía in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Forlusitanos's Valentim Baía got control of the ball when Makis Kaklamanis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valentim Baía took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manos Kapsimalis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Bourniαs's Giannis Sapounakis got a free kick in the 94th minute. The Bourniαs players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
