Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Siro Molinuevo in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomas Abajas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 7th minute Siro Molinuevo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Abajas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Abajas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Siro Molinuevo's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Punta Carretas FC's zone, Horacio Nesto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelito Cirion came out of the goal and Horacio Nesto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horacio Nesto succeeded in the game's 18th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. In the 22nd minute Siro Molinuevo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Abajas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Siro Molinuevo might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomas Abajas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Siro Molinuevo ran back to his position shaking his head. Roque Peñacerrada scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomas Abajas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomas Abajas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siro Molinuevo in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Roque Peñacerrada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Punta Carretas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roque Peñacerrada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Abajas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rdth minute of the game Siro Molinuevo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agulleiro F.C.'s Tomas Abajas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Punta Carretas FC's goalkeeper Marcelito Cirion had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horacio Nesto. In the 43rd minute, Horacio Nesto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Agulleiro F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 46th minute, Santiago Muc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 48 minutes into the match, Agulleiro F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Roque Peñacerrada came free, but Tomas Abajas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Siro Molinuevo made the kick off in the second half. 3-2 became the score in the 51st minute when Benicio Mattin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Siro Molinuevo in the 55th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Marcelito Cirion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Lidon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Lidon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelito Cirion having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Emilio Lidon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Agulleiro F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Lidon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelito Cirion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Siro Molinuevo came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Punta Carretas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siro Molinuevo couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute, Horacio Nesto made a precise shot to the right of Marcelito Cirion. Punta Carretas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. A collision led to Agulleiro F.C. getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Horacio Nesto hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Agulleiro F.C.'s zone, Siro Molinuevo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomas Abajas came out of the goal and Siro Molinuevo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Emilio Lidon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 96 minutes, Horacio Nesto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agulleiro F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Horacio Nesto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Punta Carretas FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Agulleiro F.C..
