Abd al-Asis Kafi in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gerd Laforge, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fateh Piaf's late challenge caught a AS Rapperswil-Jona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fateh Piaf helped the player get up and apologised. Fateh Piaf hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute of the game, Celestino Drescher landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. During the 8th minute of the match Fateh Piaf completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fateh Piaf a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Scotland Neck AFC's Fateh Piaf got a free kick in the 9th minute. With a little luck, AS Rapperswil-Jona's Gerd Laforge got control of the ball when Abd al-Asis Kafi tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Claudio Rohr was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AS Rapperswil-Jona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scotland Neck AFC the free kick. In the 13th minute, Claudio Rohr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, AS Rapperswil-Jona's goalkeeper Gerd Laforge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abd al-Asis Kafi. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bellemou Ahmed got free with Gerd Laforge in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alwin Stegmeier kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Salah Ben Khalidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gerd Laforge came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Scotland Neck AFC's Abd al-Asis Kafi. But to his dismay, Abd al-Asis Kafi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 28th minute, Bellemou Ahmed ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerd Laforge was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 31 minutes into the match, AS Rapperswil-Jona's goalkeeper Gerd Laforge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abd al-Asis Kafi. If Abdelkader Kermali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerd Laforge made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Abd al-Asis Kafi sent off a good shot on target. Hercules Dommen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Abd al-Aziz Chebal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salah Ben Khalidi in the 45th minute of play forced AS Rapperswil-Jona's goalkeeper Gerd Laforge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to AS Rapperswil-Jona getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Aurelius Amberg hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Scotland Neck AFC's Nouredine Fellahi got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Salah Ben Khalidi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gerd Laforge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, AS Rapperswil-Jona's Aurelius Amberg got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 71st minute, Alwin Stegmeier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Scotland Neck AFC's Nouredine Fellahi got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Abd al-Aziz Chebal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hercules Dommen's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Abd al-Asis Kafi scored 3-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerd Laforge, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Salah Ben Khalidi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerd Laforge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelkader Kermali, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. AS Rapperswil-Jona were furious when Gunter Hurschler was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in AS Rapperswil-Jona fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! When Aurelius Amberg fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AS Rapperswil-Jona's protests and gave Aurelius Amberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Scotland Neck AFC booed when AS Rapperswil-Jona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelius Amberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Scotland Neck AFC had played much better football throughout.
