The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. David Vimaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abd al-Asis Kafi in the 14th minute. Bernardino Cuarto kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baldomero Gonzo in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abd al-Aziz Chebal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 21st minute, Abd al-Asis Kafi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Noureddine Brahimi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the game, Nicanor Ioritz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Abd al-Aziz Chebal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 37th minute of the match Eustacio Salvino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abd al-Aziz Chebal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Abd al-Asis Kafi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but David Vimaro made a huge save. In the 44th minute Scotland Neck AFC were awarded a corner. Fateh Piaf went to the cornerflag to take it. When Mauro Gauargi came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Ariel FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Gauargi couldn't finish the play. Eustacio Salvino kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Noureddine Brahimi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. David Vimaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abd al-Asis Kafi in the 53rd minute of play. Noureddine Brahimi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Salah Ben Khalidi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Scotland Neck AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 62 minutes into the match, Scotland Neck AFC's goalkeeper Abd al-Aziz Chebal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauro Gauargi. Pedro Txurio took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abd al-Aziz Chebal. Abd al-Aziz Chebal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Hernan Mazuste's late challenge caught a Scotland Neck AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hernan Mazuste helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baldomero Gonzo in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abd al-Aziz Chebal saved Scotland Neck AFC from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Baldomero Gonzo put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Abd al-Aziz Chebal. Ariel FC's Mauro Gauargi was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 83rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Abd al-Aziz Chebal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Gonzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Mauro Gauargi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Abd al-Aziz Chebal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Scotland Neck AFC defense, Mauro Gauargi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abd al-Aziz Chebal. The Scotland Neck AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abd al-Aziz Chebal should have stopped the shot. Ariel FC's David Vimaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noureddine Brahimi in the 96th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Scotland Neck AFC's zone, Mauro Gauargi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abd al-Aziz Chebal came out of the goal and Mauro Gauargi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ariel FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
