The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramiro Ekialde in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomas Abajas saved Agulleiro F.C. from getting behind. Horacio Nesto struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Mariano Eguerdi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agulleiro F.C.. Ramiro Ekialde could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Tomas Abajas made a huge save. 10 minutes into the game, one of Agulleiro F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Horacio Nesto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Mariano Eguerdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Eguerdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Lidon in the 17th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Horacio Nesto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Agulleiro F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Nesto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Eguerdi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 23 minutes, Gabriel Sein made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Agulleiro F.C.'s Tomas Abajas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Gabriel Sein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Lidon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Sein could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Tomas Abajas made a huge save. Mariano Eguerdi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Lidon's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Tomas Abajas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Sein in the 46th minute. Horacio Nesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Eguerdi having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ramiro Ekialde to strike the kick off in the second half. Agulleiro F.C.'s Horacio Nesto got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 53rd minute, Agulleiro F.C.'s Emilio Lidon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Mariano Eguerdi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Lidon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Abajas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramiro Ekialde's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 66 minutes into the game, Emilio Lidon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mariano Eguerdi. Emilio Lidon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Mariano Eguerdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Lidon in the 69th minute of play. Tomas Abajas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Sein in the 71st minute of the match. If Ramiro Ekialde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 played minutes Agulleiro F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Muc. Emilio Lidon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 98 minutes into the match, Agulleiro F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Ekialde came free, but Tomas Abajas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Agulleiro F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Agulleiro F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
