Makis Kaklamanis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelito Cirion having to interfere. Nikos Voulgaridis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Marcelito Cirion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Siro Molinuevo made a precise shot to the right of Iakovos Tselekidis. Bourniαs's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Makis Kaklamanis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Marcelito Cirion when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Siro Molinuevo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Punta Carretas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Siro Molinuevo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iakovos Tselekidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Bourniαs's zone, Roque Peñacerrada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iakovos Tselekidis came out of the goal and Roque Peñacerrada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th match minute, Punta Carretas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Olazabal to maneuver through the defense. Manos Kapsimalis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. With a little luck, Bourniαs's Iakovos Tselekidis got control of the ball when Roque Peñacerrada tried to sneak it across the goal line. Punta Carretas FC's Marcelito Cirion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manos Kapsimalis in the 57th minute of play. Makis Kaklamanis scored 1-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelito Cirion, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 62nd minute, Manos Kapsimalis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roque Peñacerrada succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. In the 71st match minute, Punta Carretas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zigor Cuellar to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Bourniαs's Giannis Sapounakis got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Makis Kaklamanis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelito Cirion having to interfere. But to his dismay, Roque Peñacerrada quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 86th match minute, Bourniαs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timos Kakanoulias to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Makis Kaklamanis in the 94th minute of play forced Punta Carretas FC's goalkeeper Marcelito Cirion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manos Kapsimalis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelito Cirion read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Punta Carretas FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
