The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Qiao Nan Wen scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cãlin Damaschin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 7th minute Qiao Nan Wen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cãlin Damaschin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th match minute, Flamengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Orhan Kazakhan to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Flamengo's goalkeeper August Hjortberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fermin Kauldi. Qiao Nan Wen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 18th match minute, Granville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Manuelo to maneuver through the defense. Cãlin Damaschin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Li Nan Yu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fermin Kauldi got free with August Hjortberg in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Qiao Nan Wen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Qiao Nan Wen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flamengo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Flamengo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Li Nan Yu in the 42nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Li Nan Yu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cãlin Damaschin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Granville's Eugenio Bermund got a free kick in the 46th minute. The Granville players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Flamengo were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Qiao Nan Wen was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Andrei Oros threw the ball into play from the sideline. Flamengo's Doğuş Falcıoğlu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a little luck, Granville's Cãlin Damaschin got control of the ball when Qiao Nan Wen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 60 minutes of play, Flamengo's Qiao Nan Wen made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cãlin Damaschin was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Granville's Jesús Salvador in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Flamengo's goalie prevented a goal. Li Nan Yu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Cãlin Damaschin made a huge save. Eugenio Bermund hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. A nice corner shot did that Ahmet Orhan Kazakhan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cãlin Damaschin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 87th minute, Li Nan Yu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cãlin Damaschin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kasper Bivall in the 90th minute. Flamengo played a much better game than Granville and deserved their victory. The Granville players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
