Jens-Ola Eklund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walmir de Castro in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Sabin Albu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogelio Dei. Ferrocarrilera AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sabin Albu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ferrocarrilera AFC's Rogelio Dei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabin Albu in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ferrocarrilera AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Olof Orre was slow to take the kick. During this time Avesta's players had a chance to rest. Rogelio Dei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelu Băcila, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Ferrocarrilera AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mieszko Tomporowski in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Avesta's goalkeeper Jens-Ola Eklund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Walmir de Castro. Chants of Avesta echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ferrocarrilera AFC had held the ball for most of the match.
