An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Bierhoff in the 3rd minute of play forced BANDOLEIROS osasco's goalkeeper Karl Pilgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BANDOLEIROS osasco's attentive Billy Sandström managed to snatch the ball when Herberto Ribas made a throw-in in the 20th minute of the game. In the 29th minute, Oliver Bierhoff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Oliver Bierhoff managed to get in a good position for a shot. ADM Taquaras's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliver Bierhoff was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Pilgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denílson Tepedino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Tepedino in the 51st minute of play forced BANDOLEIROS osasco's goalkeeper Karl Pilgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
