Ingvar Nykvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Marley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dexter Morgan VR46's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Petros Mirtsos was slow to take the kick. During this time ΠΑΟΚ FC's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Santiago Gentiletti heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Comunardo Guerrini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmondo Del Monte in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Edmondo Del Monte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Guerrini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ingvar Nykvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Marley in the 21st minute of play. After 22 played minutes ΠΑΟΚ FC got a freekick which was hit by Thanasis Kanavos. After having played for 25 minutes, Santiago Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ΠΑΟΚ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santiago Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th match minute, ΠΑΟΚ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Del Monte to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Dexter Morgan VR46's goal looked a bit too open when Petros Mirtsos came free, but Comunardo Guerrini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Comunardo Guerrini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmondo Del Monte in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of ΠΑΟΚ FC booed when Dexter Morgan VR46 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bob Marley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Comunardo Guerrini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santiago Silva went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Dexter Morgan VR46 booed when ΠΑΟΚ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Tauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anfilogino Palma came free, but Ingvar Nykvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmondo Del Monte in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Comunardo Guerrini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The ΠΑΟΚ FC fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when ΠΑΟΚ FC's Edmondo Del Monte looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dexter Morgan VR46's Claudio Ciolli was substituted for Anfilogino Palma. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bob Marley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Dexter Morgan VR46 got a freekick which was hit by Frankie McFrank. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bob Marley got free with Ingvar Nykvist in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmondo Del Monte in the 60th minute of play forced Dexter Morgan VR46's goalkeeper Comunardo Guerrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ΠΑΟΚ FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Petros Mirtsos in the 62nd minute. Petros Mirtsos made a great header on ΠΑΟΚ FC's corner, it was just that Dexter Morgan VR46's Comunardo Guerrini managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmondo Del Monte in the 65th minute of play forced Dexter Morgan VR46's goalkeeper Comunardo Guerrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ΠΑΟΚ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zheng Yang Zhen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Santiago Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Guerrini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute Zheng Yang Zhen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Guerrini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
