Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nazım Taci to make the kick off. Pablo Lohitzun came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by New York Red Bulls's Emanuel Encescu. But to his dismay, Emanuel Encescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Svetoslav Vardarov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eduardo Pereyra having to make a save. Svetoslav Vardarov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Eduardo Pereyra made a huge save. In the 64th minute, Arif Tugay Alkın ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Pereyra was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 71st minute, Doru Coman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Expresso Ranelagh made a substitution. Honorato Chap replaced Victor de Souza. The supporters of Expresso Ranelagh booed when New York Red Bulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doru Coman didn't get a good kick on the ball.
