Mateusz Kloczko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nazım Taci in the 4th minute of play. The corner led New York Red Bulls's Basarab Panduru to fire away a dangerous shot which Mateusz Kloczko despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. New York Red Bulls's Eduardo Pereyra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boruc Posadzki in the 11th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper Eduardo Pereyra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Boruc Posadzki. The audience thought a goal was coming when Boruc Posadzki got free with Eduardo Pereyra in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC's Boruc Posadzki was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eduardo Pereyra in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 19th match minute, New York Red Bulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basarab Panduru to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC's goal looked a bit too open when George Schiau came free, but Mateusz Kloczko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateusz Kloczko came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by New York Red Bulls's George Schiau. But to his dismay, George Schiau quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 28 minutes, George Schiau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New York Red Bulls and the MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute, George Schiau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucjan Chwalkiewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Eduardo Pereyra made a huge save. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Boruc Posadzki to make the kick off. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched New York Red Bulls eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
