Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nazım Taci started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Nazım Taci ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristóvão Ortiz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind K.S. Wichura Targanice's goalkeeper Cristóvão Ortiz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristinel Alamaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Ortiz having to interfere. Cristóvão Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristinel Alamaru in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match New York Red Bulls got a corner. K.S. Wichura Targanice's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Basarab Panduru ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cristóvão Ortiz came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by New York Red Bulls's Nazım Taci. But to his dismay, Nazım Taci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nazım Taci in the 24th minute of play forced K.S. Wichura Targanice's goalkeeper Cristóvão Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, George Schiau made a precise shot to the right of Cristóvão Ortiz. K.S. Wichura Targanice's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 29thth minute of the game Nazım Taci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but K.S. Wichura Targanice's Cristóvão Ortiz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Nazım Taci put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Cristóvão Ortiz. 32 minutes into the game, Cristinel Alamaru threw the ball into play from the sideline. K.S. Wichura Targanice's Szczepan Liermann quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 34th match minute, New York Red Bulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristinel Alamaru to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, George Schiau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New York Red Bulls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. With a little luck, New York Red Bulls's Eduardo Pereyra got control of the ball when Napoleon Wos tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Teofil Solak fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored K.S. Wichura Targanice's protests and gave Teofil Solak a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, K.S. Wichura Targanice's Teofil Solak got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, K.S. Wichura Targanice's goal looked a bit too open when Nazım Taci came free, but Cristóvão Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, New York Red Bulls's Nazım Taci nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristóvão Ortiz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Krzysztof Kossakowski to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Cristóvão Ortiz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 56th minute, New York Red Bulls's Remus Bercea seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Remus Bercea the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of New York Red Bulls protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Remus Bercea had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 55 minutes into the game, one of New York Red Bulls:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. K.S. Wichura Targanice's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Napoleon Wos in the 58th minute. The corner ended in Florian Dranka almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but New York Red Bulls's Eduardo Pereyra did a great save. Cristinel Alamaru might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristóvão Ortiz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristinel Alamaru ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, K.S. Wichura Targanice's Florian Dranka got a free kick in the 64th minute. George Schiau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Cristóvão Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in K.S. Wichura Targanice's zone, Cristinel Alamaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristóvão Ortiz came out of the goal and Cristinel Alamaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Cristinel Alamaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. New York Red Bulls's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristinel Alamaru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristóvão Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Schiau in the 74th minute of play forced K.S. Wichura Targanice's goalkeeper Cristóvão Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basarab Panduru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Ortiz having to interfere. Cristóvão Ortiz made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when George Schiau sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute of the match, George Schiau tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cristóvão Ortiz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cristinel Alamaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Cristóvão Ortiz made a huge save. The supporters of K.S. Wichura Targanice booed when New York Red Bulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristinel Alamaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristóvão Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Schiau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristóvão Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Schiau in the 88th minute of play. A collision led to K.S. Wichura Targanice getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Napoleon Wos hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Basarab Panduru sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and K.S. Wichura Targanice's Cristóvão Ortiz didn't even have to move. Teofil Solak got his second yellow card in the match during the 94th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Teofil Solak hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Liviu Bărănescu hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. New York Red Bulls's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
