Nonatos United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New York Red Bulls the free kick. After 4 played minutes Nonatos United got a freekick which was hit by João Pedro de Amaral. João Vítor Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Schiau in the 5th minute of play. Eduardo Pereyra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro de Amaral in the 9th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink came free, but Eduardo Pereyra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Pereyra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Sergipano in the 16th minute of the match. When Ademar Castro fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nonatos United's protests and gave Ademar Castro a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Nonatos United's zone, Cristinel Alamaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Vítor Arósio came out of the goal and Cristinel Alamaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nazım Taci took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Vítor Arósio. João Vítor Arósio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With an all-out effort, New York Red Bulls's João Vítor Arósio threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nazım Taci, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. João Vítor Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nazım Taci, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. New York Red Bulls's Eduardo Pereyra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Sergipano in the 29th minute of play. Eduardo Pereyra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 35 minutes, George Schiau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New York Red Bulls's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Schiau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, New York Red Bulls's Nazım Taci ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind João Vítor Arósio. João Vítor Arósio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. João Vítor Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nazım Taci in the 43rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vânderson Romero during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Nonatos United got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson Romero. New York Red Bulls's Basarab Panduru got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when André Sergipano made the kick off in the second half. George Schiau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. João Vítor Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ademar Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Nonatos United's João Vítor Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazım Taci in the 59th minute of play. 63 minutes in the game Vânderson Romero did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink. A collision led to New York Red Bulls getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Dong Hong Jian hit a great ball. João Vítor Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Schiau, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After a rather tough play, New York Red Bulls's Basarab Panduru got a free kick in the 70th minute. Nazım Taci scored 3-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Vítor Arósio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nazım Taci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 86 minutes into the match, George Schiau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Vítor Arósio. Nonatos United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that George Schiau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 95thth minute of the game Nazım Taci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nonatos United's João Vítor Arósio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. New York Red Bulls fully deserved thier win.
