The audience thought a goal was coming when Toader Bogrea got free with Gottfrid Haström in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Eintracht Cernavoda's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Ferreira came free, but Halil Utku Evvah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toader Bogrea in the 25th minute of play forced Pihl United's goalkeeper Gottfrid Haström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Eintracht Cernavoda's zone, Daniel Waselewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Halil Utku Evvah came out of the goal and Daniel Waselewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eintracht Cernavoda's Halil Utku Evvah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shea Caballero in the 28th minute of play. Gigel Gologan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gottfrid Haström firmly grabbed it by the left post. Halil Utku Evvah didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tommy Sundberg went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gigel Gologan got free with Gottfrid Haström in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eintracht Cernavoda's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Narcis Bunescu in the 41st minute. Eintracht Cernavoda's Narcis Bunescu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gabriel Jacobsson, made in the 44th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51st play minutes Gigel Gologan shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Gottfrid Haström and just under the crossbar into goal. A throw-in in the 55th minute of the game was made by Gabriel Jacobsson with Daniel Waselewicz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Doru Baicu struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Gottfrid Haström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eintracht Cernavoda. In the 61st minute Sergio-Roberto Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halil Utku Evvah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Sundberg succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 65th playminute. Pihl United's Anderson Leal was substituted for Sergio-Roberto Ramos. Eintracht Cernavoda's Rauf Tezay was substituted for Cornel Zbuchea. 71 minutes into the match, Eintracht Cernavoda's Nechifor Beșliu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gottfrid Haström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pihl United's goalkeeper Gottfrid Haström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Pihl United defense, Nechifor Beșliu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gottfrid Haström. The Pihl United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gottfrid Haström should have stopped the shot. Halil Utku Evvah was a little too slow when Enrique Ferreira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 2-3. Halil Utku Evvah didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enrique Ferreira went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Daniel Waselewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narcis Bunescu's late challenge caught a Pihl United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Narcis Bunescu helped the player get up and apologised. Pihl United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
