Nicolaas Anelka scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cássio Baptista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cássio Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shea Caballero in the 22nd minute of play. The wind increased when Gabriel Távora made the kick off in the second half. Armando Parente's late challenge caught a Pihl United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armando Parente helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pihl United booed when Terceirense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position.
