The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dan Kjellman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Vítor Baia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandro Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Artur Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Dan Kjellman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vítor Baia. Brugge United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dan Kjellman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When FC Bal op het Dak's Dan Kjellman in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Harvey Davies didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnauld Van Impe went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Vítor Baia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shaq Francis in the 46th minute of the match. Laurențiu Roşculeţ hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. In the 49th match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Roşculeţ to maneuver through the defense.

The wind increased when Dan Kjellman made the kick off in the second half. Vítor Baia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dan Kjellman's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Harvey Davies made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Goffrey Sas in the 56th minute of play. Vítor Baia made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Dan Kjellman sent off a good shot on target. FC Bal op het Dak's Martijn August was substituted for Dan Kjellman. FC Bal op het Dak's Eddy Neijsen was substituted for Válbson Almeida. A nice corner shot did that Marick Brunt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vítor Baia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 66 minutes into the game, Artur Mendes threw the ball into play from the sideline. Brugge United's Waud Huijbrechts quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 68thth minute of the game Ümit Karan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Bal op het Dak's Harvey Davies was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brugge United's Vítor Baia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Brugge United from getting a goal against them. In the 73rd minute, Joop Bakker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vítor Baia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 77 minutes into the match, FC Bal op het Dak's goal looked a bit too open when Goffrey Sas came free, but Harvey Davies reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harvey Davies didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Goffrey Sas went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Brugge United made a substitution. Guido Vissenaeken replaced Goffrey Sas. In the 86th minute Guido Vissenaeken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harvey Davies saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harvey Davies made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnauld Van Impe in the 89th minute of play. Brugge United's Vítor Baia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joop Bakker in the 94th minute of play.
