In the 47th minute, Robertinho Carabajal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jean-Louis Van Bever showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tang Di Nan in the 67th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tang Di Nan got free with Jean-Louis Van Bever in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Robertinho Carabajal scored 1-3 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jean-Louis Van Bever, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Cromvelde's zone, Joseph Smits stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean-Louis Van Bever came out of the goal and Joseph Smits tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robertinho Carabajal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jean-Louis Van Bever having to make a save. Ulises Steven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Heinz Kaltz in the 83rd minute of the match. Robertinho Carabajal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Jean-Louis Van Bever made a huge save. Jean-Louis Van Bever showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robertinho Carabajal, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AFC Koolkerke eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
