Rene Vereijt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. FC Ouagadougou National's Robert Justus was substituted for Paolo Evis. FC Ouagadougou National made a substitution. Jedrzej Kiszkiel replaced William Westelinx. In the 74th minute Ervigio Ojeda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Vereijt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Vereijt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ervigio Ojeda in the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ervigio Ojeda in the 92nd minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faustino Bordon hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The FC Ouagadougou National supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Olavarria FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Olavarria FC.
