Hamza Yavaş could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Radamel Hendrickx made a huge save. Fauna Utd's Yuri Portugal was substituted for Lorenzo Garaona. After having played for 21 minutes, William Westelinx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ouagadougou National's supporters crossed their fingers, but William Westelinx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Baba R. Hansen in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Fauna Utd's 董文鹰. Fauna Utd were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after FC Ouagadougou National's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 董文鹰 took the corner. The corner led Fauna Utd's 董文鹰 to fire away a dangerous shot which Rene Vereijt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Radamel Hendrickx made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when William Westelinx sent off a good shot on target. 31 minutes into the match, Fauna Utd's Unai Sócrates sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rene Vereijt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the game, William Westelinx recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Radamel Hendrickx. William Westelinx showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Unai Sócrates scored 2-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rene Vereijt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Unai Sócrates was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Unai Sócrates in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rene Vereijt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute Unai Sócrates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Vereijt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baba R. Hansen kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Baba R. Hansen made in the 70th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Sean Westelinx immediately put the ball in play. Radamel Hendrickx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Westelinx in the 83rd minute of play. Fauna Utd's Radamel Hendrickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamza Yavaş in the 85th minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Hamza Yavaş managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
