Ovidiu Adrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernand De Spiegeleire in the 6th minute of the match. Poli Timisoara's Ovidiu Adrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Van Eyken in the 7th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wouter Gijselinckx in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ovidiu Adrian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After taking down the ball on Poli Timisoara's corner Horst-Peter Unterberger fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gillis Degens quite easily take care of the ball. If Wouter Gijselinckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Primeiro in the 17th minute of play forced KFC Welden's goalkeeper Gillis Degens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilhelm Larsson kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. A hard shot by Raf De Weijngaert from long distance, 56 minutes into the match, got Ovidiu Adrian's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. KFC Welden's Tomm Herinckx was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ovidiu Adrian in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiger De Hond couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Kristen Spoelberghe came free, but Ovidiu Adrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Henri-Xavier Van den Dries's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ovidiu Adrian was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Henri-Xavier Van den Dries scored 2-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ovidiu Adrian, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
