Maido Hindpere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Nordstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Deng Le Jian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Maido Hindpere was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of GAIS booed when Estrella Roja Фк was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Claus didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rudolf Nordstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21stth minute of the game 王烽星 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GAIS's Wlodzimierz Cipinski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Estrella Roja Фк were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after GAIS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Amado Chayo took the corner. Marcus Rashford made a great header on Estrella Roja Фк's corner, it was just that GAIS's Wlodzimierz Cipinski managed to reach the ball for a save. After 22 minutes, Marcus Rashford made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. GAIS's Wlodzimierz Cipinski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Maido Hindpere made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deng Le Jian in the 25th minute. Justino Peli hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. GAIS's Wlodzimierz Cipinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 王烽星 in the 34th minute of play. Estrella Roja Фк's Maido Hindpere proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Estrella Roja Фк from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Nordstedt in the 37th minute of play forced Estrella Roja Фк's goalkeeper Maido Hindpere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deng Le Jian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maido Hindpere having to interfere. Rudolf Nordstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maido Hindpere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudolf Nordstedt in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emilio Jakue to make the kick off. Maido Hindpere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deng Le Jian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wlodzimierz Cipinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Rashford in the 52nd minute of play. GAIS's Wlodzimierz Cipinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 王烽星 in the 56th minute of play. In the 56th minute, 王烽星 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wlodzimierz Cipinski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 59 played minutes Estrella Roja Фк got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Abalos. Rudolf Nordstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maido Hindpere having to interfere. Deng Le Jian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Maido Hindpere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maido Hindpere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvard Björling, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After 79 played minutes GAIS got a freekick which was hit by Deng Le Jian. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Rashford in the 80th minute of play forced GAIS's goalkeeper Wlodzimierz Cipinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rudolf Nordstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Maido Hindpere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute Ulryk Pietras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wlodzimierz Cipinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Rudolf Nordstedt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maido Hindpere was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After some careless play in the Estrella Roja Фк defense, Rudolf Nordstedt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maido Hindpere. The Estrella Roja Фк fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maido Hindpere should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Estrella Roja Фк players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for GAIS.
